ASAHP is excited to announce our live virtual abstract presentation series.

The series will feature live abstract presentations which will be recorded and archived on the ASAHP website. Interested parties are invited to contribute to the program by submitting an abstract to be presented as a 15 minute live virtual presentation.

Submission Instructions

Abstracts Must:

  • Be submitted via the Click here to submit your abstract using the template below.

  • Be no more than 200 words single-spaced, formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point font.

  • Specify the Topic which best characterizes the abstract

  • Be submitted by Friday, July 17, 2020

Abstract Format:

Sections

Abstract MUST include following Sections:

  • Hypothesis/Issue to be addressed – May be a scientific hypothesis, a clinical issue, a population to be served, an educational need etc.

  • Method – Experimental design, clinical approach, educational model, etc.

  • Observations/Outcomes – experimental data, clinical or educational outcome, etc.

  • Conclusion

Style

  • List names of author(s) using no titles or degrees, followed by the Institution affiliation in parenthesis.

  • Ex: Submitting an Abstract for Presentation: Jane Doe (University of Health Studies)

Additional

  • Presentations should include a one-paragraph biographical description of the lead presenter.

Accepted Abstracts Information:

  • If the abstract is accepted for presentation, only the lead author will be notified in August 2020.

  • Lead authors will be contacted to provide their availability for a live virtual presentation. Some authors may be asked to provide a recorded presentation to ASAHP staff to be uploaded to the series web page.

  • The live virtual series will be one hour consisting of 3 presentations. All virtual presentations will be recorded and archived on the ASAHP website.

  • Accepted abstracts will be listed in the ASAHP Live Virtual Series program, promoted online and by email, and will be featured in the Journal for Allied Health. Responsibility for accuracy rests with the author.

  • Participants are responsible for reliable internet and audio access, including audio and video.

  • Participants will be required to attend at least one brief, online training session in advance of their presentation. Dates will be sent with the abstract acceptance notification.

  • Each lead author will be limited to being lead presenter for only one virtual concurrent presentation.

  • If at any time you would like to withdraw an abstract, please contact Jacoby Lawrence at jacoby@asahp.org at your earliest convenience.

Abstract Submission and Usage Agreement

By submitting and accepting any offer by ASAHP to present your abstract you authorize ASAHP full use of your abstract submission as well as rights to stream, record, edit, and disseminate your abstract presentation. You agree that the presentation video, text, and materials may be edited at ASAHP’s discretion and may be shared with ASAHP’s membership and interested parties as well as be made available online and in publications.
