ASAHP joined other members of the Federation of Associations of Schools of the Health Professions (FASHP) in a letter to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee on reauthorization of the Higher Education Act. The letter recommends that the Committee reconsider proposed changes made to the PLUS loans for graduate and professional students (Grad PLUS) and the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program for new borrowers in the House PROSPER Act, which passed the House Education and the Workforce Committee in December. The letter was also sent to the House Committee.
