New guidance was issued at the end of last week by Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos granting colleges discretion in how they comply with requirements under federal Title IX law to resolve and adjudicate allegations of sexual misconduct on campus. She also rescinded guidelines issued by the Obama administration in 2011 and 2014.
