Veterans’ Choice Funding Bill Enacted Into Law

After being unanimously approved by the House and Senate, on August 12 President Trump signed into law an appropriations bill that will provide  $2.1 billion in funding to continue the Veterans Choice Program, which allows some veterans to receive primary care, inpatient and outpatient specialty care, and mental health care from non-VA health care providers rather than waiting for a VA appointment or traveling to a VA facility. The legislation includes several sections that pertain to health personnel.
